For individual purchases, we issue
unlock keys so that the purchaser can have the convenience of having the gradebook
in multiple locations. These unlock keys can also be re-issued in the event that
you may have to reinstall due to a system failure. Every time you install, reinstall, or download, you will need to
register therefore you will need a brand new unlock key. To obtain your unlock key online, simply go
to our website and click on the “register” button. Go directly to step 3. (Diagram 5)
Now fill in the blanks using the
same phone number and zip/postal code that you used when you purchased the
gradebook. To find your registration code and serial number, go to the main
screen of your gradebook and click on the help menu. Scroll down and click on “register gradebook” and you will see
the following screen (diagram 5.a). The
numbers that you will need are written in dark blue. (Make sure that you include the hyphen when typing in the registration code).
Once you have entered all of the
appropriate information in the blanks (on the website page – diagram 5), click
on “OK” and then you will be given an unlock key. After typing in your unlock key in the “register gradebook”
screen on your gradebook, click on “OK”.
You will receive a message stating that you have successfully registered
and then you can continue on with your grading.
Why do we have this
unlock key system? Due to a history of many customers
sharing their software with other teachers, we felt compelled to implement this
system in an effort to cease any continued fraudulent activity. A license upgrade can be purchased from http://www.1st-class-software.com/orderupg.html/. The
exception to this rule is for the registration of your original version or an
upgrade done within one year. If this
