Alphabetically:  Students will be ordered from front to back, left to right alphabetically.

Randomly:  Students will be placed randomly into rows.

Re-seat:  Students will be re-seated into rows according to the “Order Students” settings.  Note that this option will automatically switch the “seat students” option to “In Rows”.

Print: This button will bring you to a print preview screen where you can have a look at your seating plan before sending it to the printer.

Moving Students:  Moving students can be done by clicking and dragging.  (Click and hold down the mouse button on any student.  Now move the mouse while still holding down the mouse button.)  If you have the ‘seat students’ option set to “In Rows”, then the following rules apply:

You may only drop a student on top of another student or a row marker.  The student being dropped will be placed in front of the student he/she was dropped on to.  To place a student at the end of a row, you must follow the following two steps:

1)  Drop the student on the last student of the row.  The student you dropped will be placed second from the last position in the row.

2)  Click on the last student in the row and drag him/her on to the student in the second from the last position.

If you have the “Seat Students” option set to “Anywhere”, then no rules apply.  You can click and drag students to any position.  If you overlap students, the student who was “dropped” will always be shown on top.
