2.4b) If the
mark you are entering has already been adjusted manually; you can enter it into
the “Adjusted Mark” column. 1st
Class GradeBook will automatically calculate the raw mark and percent.
2.4c) If the mark you are entering is a
percentage, you can enter it into the ‘Percent’ column. Again, 1st Class GradeBook will
automatically calculate the other columns.
2.5 If you would like to enter comments,
you can click on the “Comments” column and type as much text as you would
like. In addition, you can click on the
downward arrow button in the comments column and a list of pre-defined comments
will appear. You can modify these
pre-defined comments in the “Setup” screen of 1st Class GradeBook (see Marks, Comments, Setup on page 748). Note that you can select several
comments and they will be appended to each other on separate lines.
3. Fast Mark Entry
If you have a large
class size, not all of your students will fit on the screen at once. For fast mark entry, 1st Class
GradeBook allows you to go directly to any student by typing the first few
characters in their name. Click
anywhere on the student column in the “Mark” screen or click on the downward
arrow button at the top of the “Student” column. A drop down selection box will appear. Begin typing any student name.
As soon as you have typed enough characters to uniquely identify a
student, their entire name will appear.
Press <ENTER> and 1st Class GradeBook will jump to the
“Raw Mark” column for the searched student so that you can type in their
mark. When you are done, you can repeat
this sequence by pressing <SHIFT> <TAB>.
