1.  Backing up grades

Backing up grades should be used when you want to save to your A drive.  This is highly recommended for all teachers in all circumstances.

 

1.1   From the main screen choose File and then Backup Grades

1.2   This will automatically ask you to insert your diskette into the A: drive if it is not already there. “Save 1st Class GradeBook Database as…” screen will appear verify that all information is correct (you may need to create a name for your file if you have not already done so).

1.3   Click ok

 

 

2.  Transferring Grades

Transferring grades from one computer to another is fairly straight forward. If you want to move your grades from, let's say computer 1 to computer 2, then you would do the following:

2.1 Place a blank formatted disk in drive A: on computer 1

2.2 From the 1st Class GradeBook main screen choose FILE - BACKUP DATABASE and click OK.

2.3 Take the diskette to computer 2 and place it in drive A:
