No its not safe. The inside of that oven gets very hot and your little girl will have burns that could be somewhat serious. You have to do the baking with her. It is setup to be safe, but jamming your hand in mid cooking cycle, like a 3 year old might do, could be a horrible experience for her. She might never bake again!

Yes its safe. I never burnt myself once when i was a little girl. It was the best toy I ever had. I loved it so much. Those cute little cupcakes were my pride and joy!

If its a girl then buy barbies, easy bake oven, a tea cup set, a doll house, or a play kitchen and if its a boy you could buy that giant lego. (Not the small stuff because a 3 year old can`t handle that yet.) For boys another popular gift would be a toy truck or toy car or also a toy train. These seem kind of obvious but thats what 3 year old boys like.

to clear something up.. i just want to say that the reason it seem my 8 year old got "more" gifts is because hers are more expensive. the 2 games cost only about 40 bucks together, while the doll house costs nearly $300 with all the stuff. that's also why the 2 little girls are sharing, it's expensive and they play dolls and barbies together anyways.
