Q. What will make conservatives see that lower overhead does not get passed onto working americans? conservatives insist employers will hire more than they need, pay more than labor is worth and pass savings directly onto consumers if their overhead is lower or their profit margins are broader. what will it take conservatives to understand that's not the way it actually works?
No conservatives have ever said "employers will hire more than they need, pay more than labor is worth"
Not sure where you got that info. Perhaps you should learn some economics. All costs are ultimately paid by individuals, either by raising a price, cutting a worker, or cutting stock holder dividends. Usually some combination take place.
Conversely, any savings in cost will be passed on to individuals through the same methods. Usually as lower price first to gain market share, hire more workers to expand then dividends to stock holders.

Q. How do overhead calculators work? i'm sitting in maths class one day, when my teacher whips out this huge overhead calculator. the screen is obviously see-through, but the numbers stull appear on it. how do the mechanics of this differ from a normal calculator?
nothing difference just place the project on the screen of result

Q. How do the overhead sensors work that are on freeways (in ca) near public scales. are they magnetic or what? there are perpendicular modules on poles that hang over the traffic lanes as you get near the scales and then a large parallel one right alongside the scales in the right traffic lane. what/how are they sensing? they seem to be sensing loads or vehicle weight, but they are overhead. what technology do they use?
those things over hed you speak of are for a nation wide system call Prepass it is for trucks ( 18 wheelers) there are sensors in the road that weight the truck and in the cab there is a little black box that tells the driver weather or not to pull in to a weight station it is like the same thing you can get for a toll road so you dont have to go to the booth and the dont sense the load just for weight and the companys safty record if you are over loaded the little box has a red light on it and a voice will tell you to pull in to the scale
hope that anwsers your question

Q. Is exposed insulation dangerous to have overhead at work in an enclosed store? the back stockroom at my place of employment has exposed insulation on the ceiling. it is like the pink panther but yellow. it is a "small" store, the backroom is probably 800 sq.ft. ceiling is 15' high.
i don't want to breath it in everyday. should i say something?
It should not present any problems to you. It does not usually contain anything nasty like asbestos so personally I wouldn't worry.

Q. How does a overhead projector work? apparently it needs a concave mirror, condenser lenses, the slide or film, the projection lens, then the screen.
thanks a lot
its not a 'film'
its called a transparency
and the image reflects off the mirror onto the screen with is usually a white screen or a white wall.
and it needs a lightbulb .
