Q. Does overhead marker work on a dry erase board?

No they don`t come off properly. They only partially erase on my board. I have used them in a pinch but its just not a good idea.

An overhead works by projecting light through a glass plate. You write on a clear plastic sheet which sits on the glass plate. The image is focused by concave magnifying glass and then reflected in a 45 degree mirror used to reflect the image onto a white screen. Because of the mirror the image is flipped which makes this medium ideal for teaching because you end up facing the class while writing.

I hate that stupid quote, "Those who can't do, teach". AGG, it makes me mad! Ok, sorry. About your question: Pens and markers and things can be quite expensive. When I was in college I did have to buy a few things but most of it was provided for me.I would say that if you really want some stuff right now, buy a few things. Nothing wrong with that, you'll defiantly use them sometime in the future.
